R4C16 ANNOUNCES TRUMP TRADERS: A #NEVERTRUMP VOTETRADING APP
Anti-Trump Voters must trade their vote instead of wasting it

Today, Republicans for Clinton in 2016 (R4C16) announced Trump Traders - an online resource to support vote trading by #NeverTrump Republicans in swing states to help defeat Donald Trump.Trump Traders will provide voters in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas who are considering voting for a third party candidate guidance on how to vote for Clinton in a swing state, and find someone in a safe state to vote third party.

In this morning’s New York Times, R4C16 Co-founders John Stubbs and Ricardo Reyes wrote: “By voting tactically in 2016, conscientious Republicans can still prevent the worst-case scenario: Mr.Trump taking over the White House, and the G.O.P.”

"If you live in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania or Texas, a vote for Gary Johnson is a half-vote for Donald Trump," said Stubbs in a separate statement. "If you oppose Mr. Trump, you must vote for the only person who can beat him."
“With polls tightening and a historically large share of Republicans refusing to vote for Mr. Trump, the amount of GOP voters who will support Clinton could well decide the fate of this election,” said Reyes in a separate statement.

The size of #NeverTrump Republicans is significant and without recent precedent, especially in swing states. In 2012, 94% of Republicans in Ohio voted for Mitt Romney (5% voted for Barack Obama with 1% for a third party). Current polling shows a whopping 18% of Republicans in Ohio won't support Trump. If a majority of those Ohioans were supporting Hillary Clinton, she'd almost certainly win Ohio and its 18 electoral votes. But Clinton is winning barely a third of those Republicans, which are split evenly between supporting her, supporting Gary Johnson, and undecided. If the election were held today, Trump would win Ohio by a point, 46% to 45% over Clinton.

Trump Traders provides a solution for the nearly 1 in 5 Republicans in Ohio who will never vote for Donald Trump, and for millions of Republican voters in other swing states who are considering a third party candidate. Trading votes will allow any third party candidate that voters are considering to still receive votes, but not in the states that could shift the balance in the electoral college and toss the election to Donald Trump.
